The 43rd Citrus Festival will be held from 10 to 12 April 2015. A brief on this site throughout the program of the Event. Muravera awaits you with a rich program of events, Conferences, Trade shows, Competitions, Music Dance Exhibitions and the fantastic parade of folk groups from all over Sardinia, Traccas ed Etnotraccas, knights and masks of the traditional carnival.
Despite not being one party of long tradition, seems to be strongly felt by the inhabitants of Muravera and neighboring countries, come Costa Rei, territories in which, due to climatic and environmental conditions, citrus fruits have found particularly favorable terrain. Citrus fruits of the area for quality and taste, they have no equal.
The party was born in 1961 for a brilliant idea of the then president of the pro crazy (Say. Cacciabue Hotel Corallo). The idea was immediately welcomed positively by farmers in the area, so much so that today the festival is associated with an interesting market exhibition, in which the products typical of the territory are put up for sale and made known to tourists and beyond.
The visitors (circa 30.000 every year) they had the opportunity to observe fascinating parades of women and men dressed in traditional dress, decked out with i 
characteristic Sardinian jewels, which cross the main street of the town, also trodden by carts, known by the name of etnotraccas, which propose themes of Sardinian agricultural-pastoral life, all accompanied by pleasant folkloristic shows, typical of different and varied parts of Sardinia.
An enchanting sound of launeddas, musical instrument a breath that had its origins precisely in these territories, gives a touch of mystery to the whole festival. Absolutely worth visiting.
