Colostrai pond, situato alle spalle dell’;homonymous beach, it is one of the most evocative marshy environments in Sardinia.
Vast about 110 hectares, constitutes a real coastal depression where the sea it enters with difficulty due to the presence of sand dunes that stand in the way. In it stays and you can admire a large variety of birds including pink flamingos, garzette, gray and white herons, Cavalieri d’;Italy, cormorants, swamphens and marsh harriers. Completely passable on foot along the banks, the pond is able to make lovers of long walks and birdwatchers happy. The naturalistic value of this pond is completed by the numerous vegetation: Phragmite and cattail e, at points closest to the sea, salicornia.
